Xiaomi Expands Apple Integration With Photo Sharing and Message Sync

Xiaomi has announced expanded Apple-device integration in HyperOS 4, introducing more ways to share content and manage notifications across compatible devices.

Photos, Files and Contacts

The announced features include sharing photos, files, contacts and browser links between Xiaomi and Apple devices.

Cloud-album access also lets users view shared photos across the two ecosystems. Xiaomi’s documentation describes uploading iPhone or iPad content to Xiaomi Cloud and accessing it from compatible Xiaomi devices.

Notifications and Message Replies

Supported devices can synchronise notifications for calls, texts and apps in both directions.

Under the required connection conditions, users can open a Xiaomi phone’s app through an iPhone notification and reply without switching handsets.

Mac and iPad Connectivity

The expanded integration also includes viewing and operating a Xiaomi phone from a compatible Mac or iPad through Xiaomi’s connectivity app.

Compatibility Matters

Requirements vary by feature, including software versions, app installation, account settings and network connectivity. Some cloud-album functions require a mainland China Xiaomi account.

The announcement does not establish that every feature is available on all devices or in Pakistan.
