The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has introduced a mandatory update to its payment procedures, requiring all applicants to submit their passport fees exclusively by scanning a designated RAAST QR code.
According to a recent official advisory, the DGIP has discontinued the acceptance of previous online payment methods. Citizens can no longer process their passport fees through Interbank Fund Transfers (IBFT) using an IBAN, nor will the department accept payments made via Payment Slip IDs (PSID) generated through the Passport Fee Asaan platform.
The department strongly urges everyone applying for a passport to strictly adhere to the new RAAST QR code method to ensure a smooth process and avoid unnecessary delays or complications with their applications.
