Vivo has quietly launched the Vivo Y31T 5G, a new mid-range smartphone featuring a large 7,200mAh battery, a 120Hz display, dual rear cameras, and IP68/IP69 protection against water and dust.
The smartphone also comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6.
Design and Display
The Vivo Y31T 5G sports a 6.75-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1608 × 720 pixels. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and offers up to 1,250 nits of HBM brightness.
The display covers 83% of the NTSC color gamut and carries TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light.
Durability is another highlight, with the phone featuring IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. Vivo says the device can also be used for underwater photography at depths of up to 1.5 meters for as long as 30 minutes under specified conditions.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and dual stereo speakers. Vivo is offering the phone in Festive Red, Seashore Green, and Noble Gold finishes.
Performance and Software
Powering the Vivo Y31T 5G is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, built using a 4nm manufacturing process. The octa-core processor reaches clock speeds of up to 2.2GHz and is paired with an Adreno 613 GPU.
The phone comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, while Vivo’s Extended RAM feature can provide up to an additional 6GB of virtual memory.
On the software side, the Y31T 5G runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The device includes a range of AI-powered features, such as AI Erase, AI Captions, AI Transcript Assist, AI Creation, and AI SuperLink connectivity enhancements.
For connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C, and dual nano-SIM cards.
Cameras
The Vivo Y31T 5G features a dual-camera system on the rear.
The setup consists of a 50MP primary camera accompanied by a 2MP bokeh sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone has an 8MP front-facing camera.
Battery and Charging
One of the biggest highlights of the Y31T 5G is its 7,200mAh battery, which supports 44W FlashCharge technology.
According to Vivo’s laboratory testing, the battery can deliver up to 62 hours of music playback, 32 hours of video playback, 10.2 hours of navigation, and 11.4 hours of gaming.
The phone is available in three memory configurations:
- 4GB RAM + 128GB storage
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage
- 6GB RAM + 256GB storage
There is no microSD card slot for additional storage.
