Apple and LG Reportedly Team Up on Smart Home Devices

Apple is reportedly collaborating with LG Electronics on connected home accessories, including a video doorbell, thermostat, smart deadbolt lock and security cameras.

The devices are expected to integrate with Apple’s planned smart home hub and carry LG branding.

The reported lineup includes indoor, outdoor and floodlight cameras, alongside a temperature sensor.

Several accessories reportedly support connectivity standards such as Matter and Thread, although features may differ by device.

Reports point to October 13 for the introduction of Apple’s home hub, alongside updated Apple TV and HomePod mini hardware.
