The Haval H6 GT PHEV may be getting closer to its Pakistani debut. The sporty plug-in hybrid SUV has reportedly been spotted in Pakistan, adding fresh weight to speculation that Sazgar Engineering could soon introduce it to the local market.
Positioned as the sportier, coupe-style version of the H6, the H6 GT sits at the top of the H6 lineup. GWM already offers the model in several international markets, including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Brazil and South Africa.
At first glance, the H6 GT stands apart from the regular H6 PHEV with its more aggressive styling. The sloping coupe-style roofline, red brake calipers and sportier exterior give it a considerably more performance-oriented appearance. Inside, the GT treatment continues with sportier design elements and GT-branded seats.
But the biggest changes are under the skin.
The H6 GT PHEV reportedly delivers 430 horsepower, making it noticeably more powerful than the standard H6 PHEV, which produces 360 horsepower. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.58 seconds, compared with 4.8 seconds for the regular H6 PHEV.
The battery pack is another major upgrade. The GT is equipped with an approximately 35 kWh battery, offering an electric driving range of up to 183 kilometers. By comparison, the standard H6 PHEV features a 19 kWh battery and offers around 100 kilometers of electric range.
Beyond the powertrain, the H6 GT is also expected to bring several additional upgrades over the regular H6 PHEV, although details of those features for the Pakistani version have yet to be revealed.
The possibility of a local launch isn’t entirely new. Sazgar’s COO, Ali Hameed, had previously indicated that the H6 GT was expected to arrive in Pakistan this year. The latest sighting, therefore, has once again fueled speculation that its launch could be approaching.
For now, however, Sazgar has not officially announced a launch date.
If the H6 GT PHEV does make its way to Pakistan, its combination of coupe-inspired styling, 430 horsepower and an impressive electric range could make it one of the more exciting additions to the country’s growing hybrid and PHEV market.
