Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra May Get Larger Batteries
Samsung may finally increase battery capacity in its top Galaxy S27 models, according to leaks cited in recent reports. The company has not announced the Galaxy S27 lineup or confirmed its battery specifications.
A report from SamMobile says batteries attributed to the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra have appeared in South Korea’s Safety Korea certification database. The certification images do not show their exact capacities. Those figures come from earlier leaks: the Pro is reportedly being tested with a 5,087mAh rated battery, while the Ultra may use a 5,534mAh rated cell.
Samsung could advertise those as typical capacities of 5,200mAh and 5,800mAh, respectively, but those figures remain unconfirmed. If accurate, the Ultra’s reported typical capacity would be higher than the 5,000mAh capacity listed for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The battery chemistry is also uncertain. Some reports link the expected capacity increase to silicon-carbon anode technology, but Samsung has not confirmed that the Galaxy S27 series will use it. Nor is it clear whether any change would extend to every model in the lineup.
The certification listings are a sign that battery components are under review, not confirmation of final retail specifications. Capacities, model names and features can change before launch.
For now, the reports point to a possible capacity boost for the Pro and Ultra, while leaving key questions unanswered. Samsung has yet to confirm the Galaxy S27 launch details, battery technology or final capacities.
